BRAGA TROMBONE FESTIVAL 2019


Regulation

Objectives:

This regulation intends to establish the general conditions of participation of Masterclasses and the pedagogical work to be developed during the 2019 edition of the Braga Trombone Festival.

  • Trombone GOLD Masterclasses with Professors Håkan Bjorkmane Csaba Wagner;
  • Masterclass of Chamber Music and Orchestra Excerpts with Professor Francisco Rosário Vega;
  • Masterclasses SILVER of Trombone with Professors Balazs Szakszon, Attila Sztáne Csaba Bencze;
  • Workshop on the theme "Beat anxiety and enjoy your performances" with Professor Chus Vega.

Schedule and Location:

The Trombone and Chamber Music Masterclasses will take place at the facilities of the Calouste Gulbenkian Conservatory of Music in Braga;

The schedules of the individual classes, the assembly and the Workshop will be published in due course;

Meals will be held at the premises of the Calouste Gulbenkian Conservatory of Music in Braga and in the Cooperativa João Paulo II;

There will be a Chamber Music concert by the participants of the Masterclasses on July 13, at 5:00 p.m., in Braga.


Participation and selection of candidates:

There will be three modalities of application: Participant GOLD, Participant SILVER and Listener; They can apply to participate in Portuguese and foreign trombonist masterclasses; It is intended that GOLD Masterclasses participate in secondary, upper level and professional musicians; The intention is to participate in Masterclasses SILVER students of Basic and Secondary level between the ages of 13 and 18 years.

Registration will be open for participants in the Workshop on the theme "Beat anxiety and enjoy your performances"; Anyone who has an interest in the subject can register with the Workshop;

Vacancies for all activities will be limited.

The filling of vacancies will be done considering the following:

Masterclasses for GOLD Participants will be allowed up to a maximum of 16 students and SILVER Participants up to a maximum of 9 students. If the number is exceeded, the participants will be selected through a curricular evaluation - academic, artistic experience and relevant musical course.

Those who exceed the number of GOLD Participants may be invited to participate as SILVER Participant, or as Listener as Alternate to Participant.

Those who exceed the SILVER Participant number will be invited to participate as Listener as Alternate to Participant.

The selection of candidates is the sole responsibility of the organization of the Braga Trombone Festival.

Entries for Hearers will be limited to the number of seats in the rooms.

Registration for the Workshop "Beat anxiety and enjoy your performances" will be limited to the number of seats in the room.



Registration fees:
  • GOLD Participant: 150,00 €
  • SILVER Participant: 50,00 €
  • Listener: 50,00 €
  • Workshop: 10,00 €

Resgistrations:

Entries should be made by completing the own form available online, on the Portuguese Brass web page: www.portuguesebrass.com; They must be made until June 20, 2019.


Registration will only be completed when the candidate receives confirmation from the organization of the II Braga Trombone Festival that the registration has been accepted. Subsequently, a deposit of 50% of the value or full payment of the selected modality must be made by June 30, 2019. Failure to comply with this requirement excludes the participation of the candidate, who will be replaced by an alternate.


Participation in the GOLD Participant modality includes:
Individual lessons with Professors Håkan Bjorkman and Csaba Wagner from 10 to 13 July;
Chamber Music Classes and Orchestra Excerpts with Professor Francisco Rosário Vega from 10 to 13 July with Concert on July 13, in Braga;
Participation in the Workshop on "Overcome anxiety and enjoy your performances" with Professor Chus Vega;
Meals during the Festival: Snacks (morning and afternoon), Lunch and Dinner.
Entrance to the Festival Opening Concert: Portuguese Brass & Friends + James Morrison at ALTICE ARENA on July 9;
Welcome Kit;
Diploma of Participation.

Participation in the SILVER Participant modality includes:
Individual classes with Professors Balazs Szakszon, Attila Sztán and Csaba Bencze on July 11;
Afternoon snack on day 11;
50% discount on the registration in the mode of Listener in the remaining Masterclasses;
50% discount on registration in the Workshop (if you do not wish to enjoy the conditions of the Listener modality);
50% discount on ticket purchase for the Festival Opening Concert: Portuguese Brass & Friends + James Morrison at ALTICE ARENA on July 9;
Welcome Kit (if you do not want to enjoy the conditions of the Listener mode);
Diploma of Participation.

The listener in the mode of Listener includes:
Access, as a listener, to Masterclasses classes;
Participation in the Workshop on "Overcome anxiety and enjoy your performances" with Professor Chus Vega;
Welcome Kit;
50% discount on ticket purchase for the Festival Opening Concert: Portuguese Brass & Friends + James Morrison at ALTICE ARENA on July 9;
Diploma of Participation.

Workshop registration includes:
Participation in the Workshop "Beat the anxiety and enjoy your performances" with Professor Chus Vega;
Welcome Kit;
Diploma of Participation.

Responsibility:
Participants are responsible for ensuring the good condition of all materials used in the various activities as well as all spaces inherent to the realization of the Braga Trombone Festival. Participants, or their guardians, when minors, will be held liable for any damages.

Image rights
By enrolling in Masterclasses, participants authorize that photographs, videos and recordings of Masterclasses and Concerts can be used to promote the Braga Trombone Festival.

The cases not covered by this regulation or changes in conditions due to force majeure shall be decided and resolved by the organization of the Braga Trombone Festival.
